Below please find a calendar of events for the GHS Class of 1986 reunion. Our reunion coincides with the GHS 100 Year Anniversary. The school is very excited to include our class in all the festivities and they have invited us to participate in all the Anniversary Events. Please note, GHS has planned and organize all 100 Year Anniversary events. Times and dates are subject to change. Please contact the school with any questions.

Susan Pittman, who was an English teacher at Grapevine High School for 25 years, is one of the volunteers helping to plan the anniversary events. (Mrs. Pittman retired in 2003). In a recent article written by the Colleyville Courier, Pittman stated, "we are in hopes that we can get the word out and that lots and lots of people will come back, because it is such a momentous occasion," she said. "It is a city celebration, not just a campus celebration."

The reunion team is still finalizing details for many of our reunion events. Please, continue to check the website in the next few weeks for more information. This weekend was chosen based on the majority of responses we received during our survey of registered classmates and coincides with the GHS 100 Year Anniversary.

  • Anniversary Event: GHS Blood Drive. A blood drive will be held at GHS in the gym. For times and details, please contact the High School, 817-251-5210.

  • Anniversary Event: Homecoming Parade Down Main Street. Parade begins at 6:00p.m. This is a FREE event!
  • Anniversary Event: Evening Pep Rally. The pep rally will begin immediately following the Homecoming parade (approximately 7:15p.m.) and will be located at the Railroad Depot on Main Street in Grapevine. The GHS cheerleaders, band and drill team will be performing. We have asked the school for a special class of 1986 section - so look for your fellow alumns. This is a FREE event!
  • Anniversary Event: Homecoming Concert. The concert, featuring GHS Grad Bruce Channell, will be held at the Palace Theater. The show will begin at 8:00p.m. The Palace Theater is located at 300 South Main Street, Grapevine, TX 76051. For tickets and/or other information, please contact the Palace Theater at (817) 410-3550. General admission seating: $20 downstairs and $15 upstairs

  • Anniversary Event: Morning Pep Rally at GHS. Festivities begin at 8:45 a.m. The pep rally will be located in the gym. Alumnis must check in with the office to obtain a visitors pass. Seating is limited, so get there early and look for your fellow alumns. This is a FREE event!
  • Anniversary Event: Unveiling of Hall of Fame Wall. This event will be held at approximately 9:45a.m. and will include a short school tour lead by the GHS Student Council. This is a FREE event!
  • Reunion Event: GHS Class of 1986 Golf Tournament. The GHS Class of 1986 Golf Tournament will be open to all GHS Class of 1986 alumni and guests. Check-in begins at 9:00a.m. and the group will tee off at approximately10:00a.m. Player's fees are $46.00 per person, which includes a cart rental. Players can register as a team of four, or as an individual. The Grapevine Municipal Golf Course is located at 3800 Fairway Dr., Grapevine, TX 76051.

  • Anniversary Event: Ex Students Hall of Fame Brunch. Festivities begin at 10:30 at Stacy's Furniture on the 3rd floor. A highlight of the afternoon will be a fashion show with styles representative of each of the school's 10 decades. This is a FREE event, but reservations need to be made by October 9, 2006.   • Anniversary Event and Reunion Event: GHS Homecoming Game. Come out and enjoy a great night of Mustang football. Join us at the Mustang-Panther Stadium, and the Mustangs will take on Richland at 6:30p.m. for the pre-game festivities. Game time is 7:30p.m. Please contact GHS for ticket information as soon as possible. This game is sure to be a sell out.
  • Reunion Event: Friday Night Mixer. Join classmates as we kick off the 1986 High School Reunion celebration. The party will be held at Love and War Love in Texas (located at 2505 E. Grapevine Mills Circle, Grapevine, TX 76051, right outside Grapevine Mills Mall). There will be hours to reminisce about our days at GHS and catch up on what's happening now. The Class of 1986 will have a reserved section within the restaurant. Food and spirits will be available, but classmates must purchase these items independently.

You can purchase tickets and register on their site. Please pass this information along to all your friends and contacts because we are still missing a few of our classmates. We want to make sure everyone is included this October.

  • Reunion Event: Saturday Morning/Afternoon Free Time. We are leaving the morning and afternoon open for anyone who would like to get together with friends and family. This is a great opportunity for you all to reconnect with classmates and meet their families.
  • Reunion Event: Class of 1986 High School Reunion. Come join all your "old" friends at the Grapevine Concourse for an evening of dancing, laughing and reminiscing. Doors open at 7:00p.m. for registration and the fun will kick off at 7:30p.m. Fabulous dinner and cash bar provided. The party will be held at the Grapevine Concourse, located at 3800 Fairway Drive (map), overlooking the Grapevine Golf Course by Lake Grapevine.

  • Reunion Event: After party. We are planning a post party at Willhoites! Everyone is welcome as we move the party over to Main Street after the reunion. Important Travel Information

Please make your travel arrangements NOW! The reunion committee will work on a list of hotels and post them on the website for your convenience. We will not be providing room blocks, so you will be responsible for making your individual reservations.
